Coronavirus how to keep you and your family healthy

The topic of the Coronavirus, how to boost immunity, and how to keep your family safe are HOT ones for sure. If you’ve spent any time watching TV, scrolling through social or talking with your friends, you know what’s going on!

Yes, we are currently experiencing a global outbreak of a virus called the “Coronavirus”. 

We are also heading into the cold and flu season… along with going Back to School!

I know there is a lot of panic and fear right now but what there really NEEDS to be is education.

People need to know how to stop the spread of the Coronavirus because it’s actually all very simple. And I think that’s where all the frustration is coming in.

The spread of the Coronavirus is COMPLETELY avoidable!

I’ve put together some very basic steps of what to do and how to protect yourself and others from the inside out.

I talk about several products in this post, these are ALL products that my family and I have been using for years and years! 

THE OUTSIDE

1) Wash your hands

This may sound like a no-brainer but we are suddenly learning that this is not a commonly used practice! #ugh

In an effort to give the 4 that don’t wash their hands the benefit for the doubt… maybe they were never taught? Or never taught properly? 

How to wash your hands to boost immunity

Here’s how I’ve taught my kids…

  1. Wet hands
  2. Put soap on
  3. Start singing “Happy Birthday” 
  4. Scrub palms with fingertips
  5. Rub fingers in between each other, all the way down to the bottom of fingers
  6. Wash the backs of hands

Total wash time is a minimum of 15-20 seconds!

So little time can help stop sickness and disease in their tracks

Use soap and water (or a hand sanitizer that’s 60% alcohol), and make sure you wash all the nooks and crannies.

2. Don’t touch your face!

4. Use a humidifier.

5. Don’t share!

  • Cups

I live in a house with 6 people. It is very easy for everyone to just grab each other’s water bottles or glasses for a quick sip. However, we have made a rule that you only drink from your water bottle.

Boosting your immunity is absolutely CRITICAL.

Yes, this is something you should be doing daily, but now is more important than ever during this outbreak of the Coronavirus.

Unfortunately, we as Americans are not known for our incredibly healthy, nutritious, well-balanced diet.

And even if we did eat perfectly healthy meals, our food quality is not the same as it once was. Our soil is not as clean and pure therefore neither is our food.

Moral of this story: WE NEED SUPPLEMENTATION!
